How to change the programme's kind, exactly how each customer's balance is recalculated, and the one mistake to avoid.

You can change your programme's kind at any time, and your customers lose nothing. Aloke does not carry the number across; it carries each customer's progress towards a prize. Someone halfway to a free coffee is still exactly halfway after the switch, in the new unit.
The arithmetic
New balance = old balance ÷ the cheapest prize before the switch × the cheapest prize after it, rounded to the nearest whole number.
Example: stamps to points
Coffee cost 6 stamps and now costs 120 points. A customer with 4 stamps: 4 ÷ 6 × 120 = 80 points. With 5 stamps: 100 points. With one stamp: 20 points.
Example: points to stamps
Coffee cost 500 points and now costs 8 stamps. A customer with 250 points: 250 ÷ 500 × 8 = 4 stamps.
A small balance is never lost
A customer with only 3 points: 3 ÷ 500 × 8 = 0.048. Instead of zero, they get one stamp. A real balance never rounds down to nothing.
Exactly a half
When the result is exactly a half it goes to the nearest even number. Example: 300 points of a 600 point prize, now a 5 stamp prize: 300 ÷ 600 × 5 = 2.5, so 2. And 700 of 1000 to 5 stamps = 3.5, so 4.
The cheapest prize
The arithmetic uses the cheapest active prize on each side. A stamp programme with no prizes on its ladder uses «عدد الأختام للجائزة» (stamps for the prize) as the cost. If the old points programme had no prize at all, there is nothing to measure against, and the number stays as it is.

The box under the kind changes with it: «عدد الأختام للجائزة» becomes «نقاط لكل ريال» (points per riyal). Type the right number for the new kind. (Web)
Before you save, go to «الجوائز» and set each prize's cost in the new unit (coffee from 6 stamps to 120 points, for example). (Web)
Press «حفظ» once. The kind and the prizes save together, and a line confirms how many customers' balances were converted at the same share of a prize. (Web)
