The safe and the drawer's float

A safe for each branch, the drawer's float issued from it and handed back to it, and every riyal accounted for.

The safe is where a branch keeps its cash between the drawers and the bank. Once it is on, the drawer's float comes out of it, drops and the end of shift hand in go into it, and bank deposits leave from it. Every move is recorded in the name of the person who made it.

1. Open «النقد والخزنة»: on iPad and Android from «الإدارة», on the web from the POS menu, and in Aloke Owners from «كل الأقسام», then «المالية والتقارير».
2. In «الإعدادات» choose «عهدة الدرج», type «مبلغ العهدة المعتاد» (the usual float), «الفرق المسموح بلا موافقة» (the difference allowed without approval) and the limits above which a manager's code is needed, then «حفظ».

From the safe

The float is issued from the safe at the open, and the whole drawer goes back to the safe at the close.

Stays in the drawer

The float stays in the drawer for the next shift, and only the takings are handed in.

Blind count

The closer does not see the expected cash before counting. The owner and holders of «الخزنة والعهد» see the figures whenever they like.

1. Press «تفعيل الخزنة», count what is in it by note and coin, and choose «من وين هذا النقد في الدفاتر؟» (where this cash sits in the books): «من نقدية الصندوق» if it is the drawers' old cash, or «مال جديد أضافه المالك» for new money, then «فعّل».
2. «جرد الخزنة» whenever you like: count, give the reason for any difference, and beyond what is allowed a manager's code.
3. «إضافة أو سحب من الخزنة»: «إضافة من المالك» (the owner adds), «سحب المالك» (the owner takes) or «سحب من البنك إلى الخزنة» (a bank withdrawal), with the reason.
4. «نظرة عامة» shows «أين النقد الآن»: in the safe, on its way to the bank, in petty cash, in open drawers, and all the branch's cash.
